About KJM Seafood

KJM Seafood is a small family business based in Exmouth, Devon. The majority of our produce is caught in Lyme Bay, the most productive bay around the British Isles. Our shellfish varies from the tastiest shore shrimp to the common edible crab. Equally, our available wet fish ranges from simple whitebait to its natural predator, the stunning sea bass, or the bottom dwelling fish such as the common dab and the succulent turbot.

Jon Gosling explains the company's ethos:

I have been fishing since the age of 12 and my son, who has now taken over the running of our trawler/scalloper, the Two Brothers ll, has grown up at sea with me. Ian Chamberlain, who crewed for me on my first boat, Prosperity, also grew up at sea with his father on his angling boat. He now runs the Prosperity and shares the same passion for the sea as my son and me.

As we want to look forward to the future in a sustainable way, we are working with Seafish - the governmental body on sea food - and have achieved their endorsement on both of our boats, as part of the Responsible Fishing Scheme.
